The Verizon Moto X 2014 has finally received root, albeit only on Kitkat 4.4.4 and via a paid tool. The phone, which was launched way back on 26th September 2014, took only 7 months of efforts to achieve root, thereby highlighting one of the cons of buying carrier locked smartphones.
